Gathering tea party at GAA club a huge hit

Published 03/09/2013 | 05:32

ALL roads led to O'Dwyer's GAA Club for a major Gathering event which certainly wet the whistle of those in attendance.

The club organised a tea party as part of their input into the national drive to celebrate Irish culture and history.

The event was a great success by all account and the clubhouse was packed out.

There were between 10 to 14 hostesses who looked after individual tables and sold tickets.

In turn they prepared sandwiches, cakes, and of course a cuppa, for their guests.

There was also music by Liam Carter and it wasn't long before the guests took to the dance floor.

All in all, according to event organiser Freda Smith, it was a very enjoyable night.
