Fairco's Gatsby house gets a great reception
LOCAL company Fairco Windows and Doors are at the centre of yet another success story as they helped create the astounding Great Gatsby Showhouse at Dublin's Ideal Homes exhibition.
Over 30,000 people flocked to the RDS to see the house which took its inspiration from the impressive mansion which featured in the movie adaptation starring Leonardo Di Caprio.
Fairco built an 1920s-style Orangery featuring the Gatsby kitchen which boasted ten beautiful sash windows and French doors. They also supplied and installed all the windows and doors in the glamorous art deco-style residence.
'Creating the orangery was great fun and a great chance to show off just what Fairco can do,' said MD Jim Toal.
'All our doors and windows were in the elegant style of the Gatsby period.
'The whole effect was very tasteful and stylish and from the enthusiastic response we got, the public just loved it.'
Fairco also used the show to highlight their new range of timber doors and windows which they areshowcasing at their headquarters on the Old Airport Road in Santry. Jim established Fairco 15 years ago, and since then they have pioneered high-quality Hamptons timber-look windows in Ireland and employ 32 people between its Santry base and its outlets in Terenure and Kilbarrack.
They recently opened Ireland's largest indoor showhouse – a permanent ideal homes exhibition where you can experience the world of The Hamptons from the inside out.
'I designed a range very much to the Hamptons style and suddenly our customers wanted interiors to match.
'It started with architraves, then bookshelves and wall-panelling and then moved on to orangeries, all with the high degree of detail that is a feature of this style.
'The Gatsby House was a great opportunity to show off our talents and introduce even more people to the what Fairco can provide.'
