Drove car without road tax

A BALBRIGGAN motorist who drove his car without road tax has been fined €150 at Balbriggan District Court.

Aleksand Grigorjev of Brackenwood Avenue, Balbriggan pleaded guilty to driving his car without road tax on March 6th at Naul Road in Balbriggan. Garda Kevin Fitzpatrick told the court that when he stopped Grigorjev he requested the motorist to produce his road tax at a garda station within ten days. Grigorjev failed to produce his road tax but produced his foreign driving licence in court. He admitted he had no tax on the car and told the court he doesn't drive anymore. Judge Dermot Dempsey fined him €150 and gave him three months to pay the fine.
