Driver fined €1,000 and disqualified

A MAN, convicted in his absence at Balbriggan District Court of driving without insurance, was fined €1,000 and banned from driving for two years.

Marius Cosofret (21) Mountain View, Stamullen, County Meath, who failed to attend the court, was convicted of not having his car insured while driving at Moylaragh Park, Balbriggan on May 11. Judge Dermot Dempsey also fined him €100 for not having a current driving licence.
