Defendant given a suspended sentence

A 24-YEAR- OLD man was given a two month suspended sentence at Swords District Court after being deemed to be unsuitable for community service work.

Alen Adamovic, Fortlawn, Clonsilla, Blanchardstown was convicted of using threatening and abusive language and behaviour at Wright's, Malahide on January 1. A Probation report deemed him unsuitable for community service work as he is receiving treatment for drug abuse. Imposing the two month sentence, Judge Dermot Dempsey stated that it will remain suspended provided Mr Adamovic keeps the peace and is of good behaviour for one year.
