Church fundraiser

A FUNDRAISING evening in aid of St George's Church of Ireland Balbriggan is taking place on Tuesday, November 5, at 8 p.m.

The festive frolics girly night out is taking place in the Bracken Court Hotel and will feature a demonstration by James on Christmas table and tree decorations. Guests will enjoy a free glass of mulled wine on entry. Decoration kits will be available to buy on the night. There will also be an exciting selection of handcrafted gifts. REMANDED ON BAIL

A MAN who is alleged to have caused nearly €14,000 worth of damage to a window at The Wright Venue in Swords has been remanded on continuing bail at Swords District Court.

Colin Healy (34) of Drumnigh Woods in Portmarnock is charged with causing criminal damage to the value of €13,472 at The Wright Venue, Airside Retail Park in Swords on March 31.

Sergeant Bob Kavanagh gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution by way of schedule. Judge Dermot Dempsey accepted jurisdiction after the DPP recommended summary disposal of the case. He remanded Healy on continuing bail to re-appear before the court on November 26 for a plea or to fix a date for hearing.

INSURANCE

A MAN charged with driving without insurance is to have his case heard at Swords District Court next month.

Yevhen Paladity (31) of Thornfield Square in Clondalkin is alleged to have been driving without insurance on June 30 at Holywell Link Road in Swords. Judge Dermot Dempsey remanded Paladity on continuing bail to re-appear before the court on November 18 when the case will be heard.

INTOXICATED

A MAN charged with being intoxicated and using threatening and abusive behaviour has been remanded on continuing bail to have his case heard next month. Tomas Valusis (22) of Aran Leigh Court, Rathfarnham is alleged to have committed the offences at Chapel Lane in Swords on September 15. Judge Dermot Dempsey adjourned the case for hearing on November 18.
