THE annual Catherine Lawlor School of Art, which raises money for local charities, is taking place at the end of the month in Malahide. Now in its 10th year, the exhibition will be held at Malahide Tennis Club on Saturday and Sunday, September 29 and 30, in aid of the Children's Medical and Research Foundation at Our Lady's Children's Hospital in Crumlin.
A selection of the students' art work will available for sale and there will be a raffle for a chosen charity. Catherine Lawlor's School of Art was established 12 years ago and classes take place Monday to Friday, bringing people together in a unique way through art. The standard and diversity of artwork from the students is of exceptional quality, including traditional landscapes, sea scapes through to contemporary art using various techniques and a range of mediums. Saturday full day workshops are available throughout the year catering for all levels of ability, including tuition in all aspects of painting and drawing. There will also be demonstrations by guest artists Ronan Goti and Robert Stacks throughout the year. If you would like more information about joining our classes please contact Catherine Lawlor at 085 7106895 or visit dublinartclasses.com. Alternatively why not pop down to the exhibition, which runs from 11am to 6pm both days.
