NAUTILUS Restaurant in Malahide played host to a recent coffee morning in aid of Daffodil Day and the Irish Cancer Society which managed to raise a whopping €2,438 for this worthy cause.
Sheila Morris, on behalf of the organisers of the annual coffee morning, told the Fingal Independent that the event proved very successful and everyone was delighted with the 'fantastic' sum of money raised.
She said: 'We are very grateful to Mary the owner of Nautilus Restaurant also Alan and Robyn for giving their time. Thanks to all our sponsors and all who attended on the day.'
She added: 'This is our eighth year running this event but it would not take place without our great volunteers.'
The event took place at Nautilus (formerly CIAO) in Malahide from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 20 and attracted a great crowd who, judging by the total cash raised on the day, proved to be a very generous bunch indeed.
