Ag. Science students' hands-on experience

STUDENTS from a Swords secondary school were among a huge contingent of second level agricultural science students to take to to fields recently.

Almost 2,000 second level students visited Teagasc colleges and research centres throughout the country to get a day of hands-on learning.

The students from Colaiste Choilm visited Ballyhaise Agricultural College.

After 40 years of waiting, a new Agriculture Science syllabus to be ready by Autumn 2015

The Farm Walk and Talk was organised by Agri Aware, in association with Teagasc, IASTA, members of Meat Industry Ireland (MII), the Irish dairy industry and other key patrons.
