Well done Ellen

Published 18/09/2012 | 16:48

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS goes to Ellen Keane who represented Ireland and the Aer Lingus Swim Club with distinction at the London Paralympic Games.

The young swimmer from Clontarf is a member of the ALSAA-based club and swam in three events in the games, making two out of three finals and smashing personal bests. Her games had a great start, making it to the final of the butterfly and swimming a personal best time in her heat. She went on to make another final as the sixt fastest competitor in the 200 metres individual medley in her classification. Ellen just fell short of making a third final in the 100 metre breast stroke but overall, can look back at a really successful games where she brought pride and her club and her country - well done Ellen!
