Voters to move to new polling station

UNLESS NEW referenda or a surprise by-election occurs before the next local and General elections, residents on Brackenstown Road and Park Avenue will no longer have to pass the polling station across the road and drive to one much further away in River Valley.

The Children's Referendum should mark the last time that residents in the affected area will have to endure this polling farce, unless there are unscheduled votes between now and the next local elections in 2014. The council has confirmed to Cllr Darragh Butler (FF), a campaigner on the issue, that at the next local elections and General Election, these voters will be voting across the road in St Cronan's School.
