A MALAHIDE teenager is making waves in Canadian football circles and has taken a gold medal for his efforts in helping his High School to victory in a provincial final.At the Vancouver B.C. Stadium, Malahide-born Shane Dagg, won a gold medal after starring in his attacking wing role for South Delta High School in their 31 -14 win at the B.C. Provincial High School Senior Final where they secured victory over the champions, Mission High School to win The Subway Championship Cup. South Delta have had their best season ever by winning all 12 of their games and Shane has been an ever present force in the team for all the fixtures. One of the outstanding South Delta results was their 27 – 12 win in the semi-final against Nanaimo High School which included Shane making a successful 87yard run and then going on to score. Shane's success in Canadian Football has proved very beneficial in complementing his successful progress in another sport as he progresses through the Canadian Under-18 Rugby Academy. In the last 15 months Shane has won three gold medals In Canada. Well done Shane!
