Second annual Snowflakes 5k is on the way

The second annual Snowflakes Summer 5k is fast approaching with registration now open for the event.

It is taking place once again at Newbridge Demesne on Thursday, July 20 at 6.45pm.

The cost is €15 for adults and €5 for children. There will be goodie bags and medals for all participants.

Last year at the inaugural event, some 130 people turned out to take part in the fun run and walk, raising funds for the group.

Snowflakes is based in Holywell Community Centre and offers much needed support to families across the county.

They hold many activities throughout the week, including sports, creative activities and social clubs.

It was established in 2012 and has gone from strength to strength over the years, providing much-needed support to families affected by autism.

They also hold a number of support meetings for family members throughout the month. You can find Snowflakes on facebook or through their website www.snowflakes.ie.

Anybody wishing to take part should register at https://www.popupraces.ie/events/snowflakes-summer-5k-2/.
