Samphire given seal of approval

A STYLISH new restaurant has been launched which is sure to delight food lovers in North County Dublin.

Samphire@The Waterside in Donabate will best suit those with an appetite for Irish inspired French cuisine and has already received high praise from Masterchef's Nick Munier and radio presenter Ronan Collins among others. Samphire is perched right on Donabate beach and boasts stunning views of Howth Head, Ireland's Eye and Lambay Island and yet is only a couple of minutes off the M1 motorway.

Leading the team of chefs at Samphire is executive head chef Tom Walsh, former head chef at Cruzzo in Malahide and Dromoland Castle. 'Naturally with a prime location on the coastline, it is important for Samphire to embrace an element of seafood, but with such an abundance of quality produce available in the Fingal area, we have been conscious not to let seafood dominate the menu.' Owners Chris and Thelma Slattery said: 'We're very excited about this new launch are are determined to continue using local ingredients which our new head chef will transform into world class dishes. We look forward to welcoming you from Dublin and a far, as this experience should be tried at least once in a lifetime.'
