IT WILl be at least the middle of 2014 before a long planned reservoir for Seamount in Malahide is completed after difficulty acquiring NAMA land delayed the project.Asked for a report on the project by Cllr Peter Coyle (Lab), the council said: 'Progress has been delayed on this project due to the difficulty of acquiring the necessary land for construction. 'Fingal County Council is currently involved in a protracted land transfer with a landowner partnership and NAMA. 'As a result Fingal County Council is unable to commence the tender process and program construction of the reservoir. In the event of the land being transferred to Fingal County Council before the end of the current year, it is likely that construction will commence no sooner than the fourth quarter of 2013. The estimate for construction and commissioning is seven months which would envisage completion by the end of the second quarter of 2014.'
