New Foróige Club

Published 27/11/2012 | 10:30

A NEW Foróige club is opening for young people in the Drynam/Feltrim area.

The club opens its doors tonight (Tuesday) at 7.30pm. The club will be held every Tuesday evening from 7.30-9pm in Drynam Parish Hall. The club is aimed at boys and girls aged 12 or over. The club's aim is to provide young people in the area with a safe place to socialise, meet their friends and get involved in lots of fun activities. Foróige clubs are purposely structured youth development groups made up of young people from the local community. They enable young people to experience democracy by electing their own club committee and managing and operating the club in cooperation with adult leaders. Numbers will be limited and offered on a first come first served basis. If you are interested in getting involved or know of anyone who you think would like to join Drynam Foróige then feel free to come along on the night. For further information contact Bryan Gavin (Foróige Regional Youth Officer) on 086-8519639.
