Minor works outstanding at Ridgewood

THE dressing room complex at Ridgewood cannot be allocated to local clubs until some outstanding issues are sorted out, the local authority has stated.

The facility is not yet complete to a standard where it can be used by the sporting organisations, according to Fingal County Council. 'Minor internal snagging has been completed. The painting of anti-graffiti coating has also been completed and the water connection remains outstanding. The various anti-vandalism protections have been arranged and works will start on site shortly', the council informed Cllr Darragh Butler (FF), who raised the issue at a Balbriggan/Swords area committee meeting. A meeting was held with representatives of both clubs regarding the allocation process and matter of utility bills, insurance, maintenance and repairs of the building. An agreement between the clubs and the county council will be drafted. When the building is complete and the agreement is in place the facility can be allocated, the council added.
