LATE NIGHT Soccer has kicked off once again in Swords and will continue for the next few weeks at the allweather facility in River Valley.

The event kicked off on November 2 and takes the form of a five-a-side competition run over five weeks. Two group winners of the event will go on to take part in the Dublin finals and it is free to participate.

The initiative is aimed at 13 to 15 year-olds in one group and 16 to 21-year-olds in the second group. The games run every friday from 9pm to 10pm. Cllr Darragh Butler (FF), attended the first night of the event and was hugely impressed with what he saw. He told the Fingal Independent: ' This is an excellent initiative supported by the F.A.I., An Garda Síochána and Fingal County Council and it was great to see so many youngsters out enjoying themselves.'
