Kids bake for a good cause
YOUNGSTERS FROM a creche in Loughshinny have shown their big-hearted nature.
Kids who attend the Bizzy B's preschool in Loughshinny held a cake sale to raise funds for a local boy, Darren O'Shea, who has autism. Recently, Darren's laptop broke and is lost without it as it acts a social outlet as well as a significant educational tool. The staff, children, parents and relatives of Bizzy B's all contributed to the baking and running of the day.
Many local shops donated gifts and vouchers for the raffle. The local community and children from St Brendan's school supported the event and we managed to raise a whopping €752. A great day was had by all. Brenda and Olive from Bizzy B's and Darren's mum, Catherine, would like to thank everyone for their support.
