Juveniles take to the streets

YOUNGSTERS FROM a local sporting organisation literally took to the streets in large number as part of a novel money-making drive.

Skerries Harps GAA Club's juvenile section staged a sponsored sold run around the town, which combined fun wtih fundraising. Each of the juvenile teams, from U8s to U16s, were represented at camogie, hurling and football in what turned out to bea fun event with plenty of noise and colour. Participants began their quest at the clubhouse, soloing the ball to Strand Street, via Skerries Mills, before turning onto Church Street and back to the club where all the players earned a well deserved rest.
