IBAL praise for airport
THE CLEANLINESS of Dublin Airport has been highly praised in a new nationwide litter survey. The Irish Business Against Litter (IBAL) survey found the Dublin Airport campus was in 'immaculate' condition. However, the organisation was highly critical of the approach roads to the airport campus, which it described as a litter blackspot.
'Tourists landing at Dublin Airport are being greeted by littered approach roads,' according to IBAL.
With Fingal Council admitting to cleaning the roads only once a year, IBAL is calling for adequate cleaning schedules for key routes used by visitors,' the report states. The new survey said the roads in the vicinity of the airport were spoiled by dumping, casual litter and all manner of rubbish.
