The fusion of Jazz and Visual Art make Autumn Jazz something really special and there will be an Art Pop-Up gallery open on September 15 and 16 as part of the Jazz Trail. The Autumn Jazz Artist in Residence is local lady, Alison O'Grady. Alison is an artist who runs her own art workshops via 'Graffic Jam' and specialises in visual art education. The Graffic Jam workshops provide students with the opportunity to develop cognitive and creative skills, and help develop their imaginations. Speaking at the launch, Alison said: 'Art education provides an important balance in both children's and teenagers' total educational experience. Graffic Jam's art experience provides a forum for safe expression, communication, exploration, imagination, cultural and historical understanding... and most of all fun.'
