SWORDS-based tech company, Glanola Holdings has been selected for a prestigious innovation award.
The company, based on Kettle Lane, was selected by Irish Pubs Global and Failte Ireland for the award, which was sponsored by Dr. Pierce Lyons' Alltech and Lexington Brewing and Distilling.
The accolade was awarded to the supplier, who in the opinion of judges, provided the most innovative product or service, demonstrating real value, benefit and purpose in the global beverage market.
Managing Director of Glanola Holdings, Greg Moore said, 'To be recognised by such an illustrious group of global industry leaders as cutting edge in innovation in our sector is a true honour.'
'This award solidifies our mission to provide the product as the brewer intended and as the customer expects.'
Glanola's patented technology pulses and mixes cleaning chemicals through beverage lines in just nine minutes – using a touch screen tablet device.
Publicans have the option to save the product in the process, and there is no after-taste from the procedure. Delivering a highly effective, durable and safe method to the beverage industry, it provides an alternative to the dated and unsafe manual method.
'Unlike conventional manual methods which are costly, wasteful and often hazardous, Glanola's automated solution is consistent and reliable and reduces waste,' said Mr. Moore, who invented the product. 'Already this year, the company has received product orders that will lead to more than €1 million from breweries, distributors and pub chain owners internationally.'
The award was presented at The Global Gathering of Irish Pub Owners and Managers Convention's gala dinner at the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin recently.
