THE news that St Oliver Plunkett's primary school in Malahide is to get a new €7 million school building will mean a huge amount to the community the school serves.
That is according to Senator Darragh O'Brien, who said that news that the long-awaited project was to begin construction next year was 'fantastic'.
Senator O'Brien said: 'I want to commend the school principal Claire O'Connor, former principal Tony Healy, the Chairperson of the Board of Management Alan Markey, the other board members and the St. Oliver Plunkett School Parents Association who have done magnificent work over the years to bring us to this important day.
'My colleague, Cllr. Eoghan O'Brien and I are proud to have been able to support the long campaign 'St Oliver Plunketts Malahide Need a New School NOW' for this important investment.'
