THE COUNCIL said it will not revise its plans for the county that have been put together based on the arrival of Metro North, a project which has been suspended by the present Government.
Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Cian O'Callaghan (Lab) asked the council if it intended to 'revise its development lan and relevant local area plans in light of the decision by ventral Government not to proceed with Metro North at the moment'. The council replied: ' There has been no decision by the Government to cancel Metro North. It has been deferred and it remains part of the National Transportation Authority's Transport Strategy. The council's objectives in relation to this project remain relevant and as such there is no proposal to revise the Fingal Development Plan 2011-2017 and relevant local area plans.'
