NEW PARK benches have been purchased by the council for Robswall Park in Malahide and Kingfisher Bay in Portmarnock with at least one of the benches donated by a local who wanted to use it as a memorial for a loved one.
The seating will be installed in the next six weeks, weather permitting, according to the council who was answering a query on the issue by Cllr. Peter Coyle (Lab). Cllr Coyle said the news was 'extremely welcome' and wold be particularly welcomed by elderly users of the park. The council confirmed there would be a 'small engraving' on one of the benches as a memorial by a local woman for her late husband.
