Lambay Singers tune up to help out hospice

THE widely popular Lambay Singers are holding a Christmas concert in aid of St. Francis Hospice.

The group, with musical director George Rice, are presenting their Christmas concert, 'A Time of Snow', in St. Patrick's Church , Donabate, on Friday, December 13at 8pm. There will be a matinee on Sunday, December 15 at 3.00pm.

The programme includes Ralph Vaughan William's 'Winter' from his 'Folk Songs of the Four Seasons', a selection of carols by Bob Chilcott and seasonal favourites 'The Drummer Boy', 'Silent Night' and and a carol medley that includes 'The Holly and the Ivy', 'Angels We Have Heard on High' and 'Ding Dong! Merrily on High'.

Tickets are €10 and there is a special family ticket €20 for the matinee performance on Sunday. There will be mulled wine and mince pies served after the matinee.

Tickets can be obtained from any choir member, at the door or by contacting Louise at 086 2600316.
