Taking to the catwalk to strut their stuff in Garristown
GARRISTOWN'S Gathering Festival got off to a stylish start last week when local people took to the catwalk to strut their stuff and model the latest fashions from local boutiques.
Over 200 people attended the show, and were greeted with a cheese and wine reception outside the community centre in the evening sunshine and were presented with goodie bags compliments of Adrian Dunne Pharmacy in Ashbourne. Organised by Garristown ICA, the event showcased the latest fashion and accessories for the coming season from Saphyre Boutique (Ashbourne), Jenny's Boutique (Ashbourne), Breda's Boutique (Navan), Blondelles (Ratoath), Dunnes Stores (Ashbourne) and McKeever's Menswear (Ashbourne).
A monster raffle with prizes donated by local businesses took place at the interval while a special surprise presentation was made to stalwart community member Nora Carolan for all of her volunteer work and time she gives to Garristown ICA, Garristown Community Council and Garristown Church.
The ICA would like to thank all their sponsors, supporters and those who attended to make the evening an entertaining and stylish event.
