Fingal Farm Home and Garden, located in Westpalstown, Oldtown, marked their silver anniversary in business with an open day.

The family-run business was established in 1988 as Fingal Farm Supplies by Tony and Sheila Corbally and later changed the name to Fingal Farm Home and Garden to suit the diversifying range of country supplies.

Starting with livestock handling equipment, the company now stocks a huge range of products with a full hardware shop, animal feed and fencing supplies, coal, gas and briquettes.

They also carry an excellent range of farm maintenance products including gates, land drainage, hardware and plumbing, roofing and gutters.

Mark Corbally explained: 'My parents were farming themselves in the 80s and had a good knowledge of what the local community needed.'

Mark is now involved in the business, which has a staff of eight, and also runs a fencing contracting business, known as Fingal Fencing, which has a great client list including Dublin Zoo.
