A NEW single has been released by one of Fingal's most popular classic rock bands, 'The Ride or Die Gang', who plan to release a new album this summer.
After receiving wide praise for their recent single 'Integral', the band has released 'What About Love' – a rock tune in the vein of Free or Bad Company with a lyric that confronts the issue of domestic violence – from the EP 'Bad Beat Story' as their follow up single.
'It's a bit of a nudge on a relentless issue we should all be paying more attention to,' said guitarist Teeyeff.
'With one in three women in an international context being subjected to abuse, chances are it's happening not too far from your own door.'
A video for the new single is available to view online at http://youtube/RZDNcXLJ5Go
'We opted to get some actors on board for this video,' said singer Rory O'Connor. 'We wanted to make the point in a more powerful way than a simple band performance could. The actors definitely add some real weight to the story.'
The latest EP and single are available through the band's website (www. TheRideOrDieGang.com) and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/therideordiegang).
The Ride or Die Gang are Rory O'Connor (vocals and guitar), Teeyeff (guitar and backing vocals), Mike Synnott (bass and backing vocals) and Michael Heffernan (drums and backing vocals).
They are all experienced musicians with similar rock credentials and they are passionate craftsmen of classic rock songs featuring strong melodies and lyrical snapshots of daily life.
