Outdoor gigs under summer's sun return to Seamus Ennis Centre
Major outdoor gigs in the summer sun return to The Piper's Garden at the Seamus Ennis Arts Centre in Naul with the legendary Donovan slated to perform at the venue as well as the likes of Jack L, Eddi Reader and Duke Special.
The Piper's Garden has had a facelift since the last series of outdoor gigs there last summer, and the centrepiece of this fantastic outdoor venue is a brand new covered stage which will make sure that any unexpected turn in the weather will not stop the music.
Commenting on the exciting programme of summer concerts at the Naul venue this year, Seamus Ennis Arts Centre director, Sean Paul O'Hare said: 'This summer we will have two top quality outdoor weekends of music.
'The wonderful Eddi Reader and her full band are kicking off our summer season in July and throughout the summer, we will have amazing acts such as Jack L, Duke Special, Ulaid, The Whileaways and the legendary Donovan.'
The arts centre director also commented on the new stage that will host the summer concerts, saying: 'This summer we will also witness the arrival of our new covered stage area and this will help sustain our outdoor programme of events for may years to come.'
For that major piece of investment in the venue's future, the Seamus Ennis Arts Centre director said he wanted to thank the council.
He said: 'It would not have been made possible without the continued support of Fingal County Council.'
Last summer, there was a hugely successful run of outdoor concerts at The Piper's Garden which really showed the potential of this unique outdoor performance space. Lisa Hannigan, Damien Dempsey and Sharon Shannon all headlined summer concerts there last year and this year, the venue will host an increased programme of concerts, held over two very special weekends.
It promises to be another great summer of music in Naul.
