THE great and the good turned out in style for the opening of the new Baroque nightclub at the Wright Venue in Swords.
Among the guests was Samia Ghadie who plays Maria in Coronation Street and her Dancing on Ice partner turned boyfriend Sylvain Longchambon.
Also there was Georgia May Foote who plays Katie on the cobbles and her boyfriend John Sage as well as models Rosanna Davison, Roz Purcell,Daniella Moyles, Rachel Wallace, Emma Waldron and Faith Barnett.
The new nightclub is part of an €800,000 investment at the Wright Venue, which has also heralded the arrival of the Hogs and Heffers Club located on South Quarter of the Airside Retail Park.
The gastro pub will pride itself on locally sourced quality dry aged cuts of meat up to 30oz, sharing meat planks and suckling hog on a spit, with a huge selection of Craft beers from Ireland and around the world.
The vibe is edgy and cool with late licence and live rock music Hogs and Heffers will re-create the theatre of a timeless Coyote Ugly style including waitresses dancing on the bar counters.
Michael Wright of the Wright Bar Group said, 'Last year saw pubs closing in Ireland at the rate of one every 48hours, yet despite these conditions the Wright Bar Group has gone from strength to strength and I am thrilled to announce today the our most recent expansion. It's about creating something exciting for customers; we recognised a surge in demand for interesting local Irish craft beers, good local food and music and we are excited about our new ventures.'
