STUDENTS from Skerries Community College brought the house down their outstanding production of Alice in Wonderland.

This was the first time transition year students produced a play in the history of the TY programme and it has been deemed a stunning success.

Aisling Brennan and Gillian Monaghan were the directing teachers, and Sinéad Nally was involved with the costume and set design. Shaun Elebert was involved with the production.

It was a one-night only showcase and the students did tremendously well in showing their talents in acting, set design and production organisation.

There were 23 students involved in the cast while other students took responsibility for the set design and were guided by Art teacher, Claire Loughran.

Students Eoghan Byrne, Cian Nugent McGealy, Paul Kennedy and Sean McInerney were part of the student production team.

Sinéad McQuerins was the leading lady as Alice, while Philip O'Kelly took on the role of the Mad Hatter.

Sara Price took on the role of the Red Queen and Sorcha Donnolly as the White Queen showcased their acting talents.

Whether through the acting, artistic, backstage or production, the students involved did themselves proud with a very enjoyable evening.
