CLUBS THROUGHOUT the county have a clear idea of their schedule for the year after the adult championship draws were made in the Talbot Hotel on Saturday last.
And some competitive groups have been served up, thanks to the seeding arrangements whereby the respective finalists (or their replacements from relegation) were kept apart. Similarly, the two beaten semi-finalists were guaranteed not to meet, and this has led to some mouth-watering match-ups.
This is the second year of the twelve-team groups, and a new departure this season means that each team will go into an AllCounty League group along with the five teams they are NOT meeting in the championship. In other words, if you are in Group A in a championship, you will play the six Group B teams in the league.
The schedule of the full five rounds of the championship were made available to the clubs, with the first round details as follows -

The first two rounds of the football championships have been pencilled in for April 20-21 and 27-28, with the hurling first round on May 11-12-13. The first round of All-County Football League games will take place on March 10-11, followed by two rounds of hurling on March 17-18 and March 24-25 before the second round of football on March 31-April 1.
