Under-10 gets a new format at lower level

IN THE past number of years it has become more and more difficult to place teams in the correct division at Under-10 level so this season the Women's League have decided to regionalise the lower divisions.

This will also cut down on travel and at the end of the league, the top two teams in each section will play a knockout competition for the Division 1 title, with the other finishing places playing for Division 2A and 2B titles.

The Premier Division will remain in place for the top six teams in the league based on last season's finishing positions. This season referees for all Under-10 games will be appointed by the league.

The league are hosting a table quiz in the Stanville Lodge Hotel on Friday, October 4, and are asking for your support.

A table of four is €40 with some great prizes. Proceedings start at 8.30 p.m.
