GOREY DUO Conor Levingston and Corey Chambers have both been selected on the Irish Under-15 international squad of 18 for their next outing.
This follows trials over the last couple of months by the F.A.I., which concluded on Sunday week last when 40 players congregating at the A.U.L. complex in Dublin for final trials under the watchful eye of manager Niall Harrison.
After a further two-day training camp at the A.U.L. on March 10 and 11, they will fly to England for four days and play two matches. The first against Wolverhampton Wanderers is on Tuesday, March 12, and the second is against Brighton and Hove Albion on the following day.
Although perhaps not as exciting as their games before Christmas against Juventus and the Aspire academy, making this squad once again is a huge achievement for the two lads, against a lot of stiff opposition, and it's another proud moment for everyone involved as they represent their country against these two established clubs.
There will be one further Under-15 squad chosen this year, which will be for an international friendly, possibly against Finland in April, and both Wexford players will be trying very hard to impress the international managers during their time in England, with the hope that they may be selected for the final showdown in April.
