ENNISCORTHY is set to have a bus shelter in Templeshannon within a month after more than a decade of waiting. Town clerk Padraig O'Gorman confirmed last week that a company called Clear Channel Ireland is poised to install the shelter, to the delight of all the urban councillors.

He expected that it will be in place by the time the Town Council meets again in March. However, the elected members were warned that the structure – with a roof, one wall and no seat – will not be as big as the shelter in Wexford town due to the narrowness of the path on the quay.

The town clerk warned that the installation of the shelter will be marked by zero tolerance for motorists who park in the bays reserved for buses.
