THE ENNISCORTHY MAN who died tragically on the M11 in Co Wicklow on Friday morning had only just become engaged, having proposed to his girlfriend on Christmas Day.

Patrick 'Pa' Kinsella (38) and his fiancée Gráinne Crimmins had been on top of world, and family members have told how there were looking at wedding catalogues together. They envisaged a big day in 2015, with St Aidan's Cathedral to be the venue. Now it will instead be the venue for his funeral Mass tomorrow ( Wednesday).

Father-of-three Pa had been on his way to work in Bray. His car was involved in a seven-vehicle pile-up close to the M11's Ashford exit. He was not seriously injured in that crash, and got out to try to warn approaching road users of the hazard ahead. Tragically, it cost him his life, as he was struck by one of those cars.
