Pupils' can-do attitude for families in need
PUPILS at three Gorey schools lent their support to families in need by collecting food for the annual Gorey Social Services Christmas Food Appeal.
Pupils from St. Joseph's Primary School, Gorey Educate Together, and Gorey Central School, all handed over boxes of non-perishable food to be distributed in food hampers to families in North Wexford in time for Christmas.
The 'Two-can' appeal also supported the NWSPCA. The pupils were asked to bring in two cans of food – one for the Food Appeal, and the other for the NWSPCA Centre.
Cllr. Colin Webb, who is Chairman of Gorey Social Services, and also the NWSPCA, praised the students for showing such community spirit and generosity.
