Former deputy leader of Fianna Fail Mary O'Rourke will be in Enniscorthy library later this month reading letters she composed on the eve of her 80th birthday.

Mary has written to 20 people, living and dead, which offers an illuminating insight into one of Ireland's best-loved figures.

Mary, who's autobiography was a number one bestseller, has held a number of senior cabinet positions. She has also been a leader of the Seanad and is a frequent guest on radio and television.

This event is free and will be on February 23 at 7 p.m. For more information contact the library on 053 92 36055.
