A SEARCH of an Enniscorthy house conducted by Gardaí under the Misuse of Drugs legislation uncovered €2 worth of cannabis.
The find at Nolan's Lawn in Enniscorthy on December 20 last year led to a court appearance last week for Daniel Ryan.
The 34-year-old accused of 12 Nolan's Lawn took responsibility for the small quantity of brown substance discovered by Garda Michael Kelly. The court learned that he had a previous conviction on his record for a similar offence, dating back to 2005.
Ryan, who attended the court with the assistance of a crutch, told Judge Gerard Haughton that he was drawing disability payments. He was fined €150 and allowed five months to find the money.
The judge formally ordered destruction of the cannabis.
