Organisers Fiona Howe and Joan Doyle were delighted by the turnout in response to their invitation after they tracked down most of the 100 plus former classmates.

They discovered that some students who left the Mercy 20 years ago have gone on to make their homes as far away as Australia and Japan. The chat over the meal was of the days when Sister Ella McGuinness was school principal and D Bar was a humble hardware shop.
