Engineer Neville Shaw said that the trees in the flower beds were knocked over but were saved. Unfortunately, two other trees on the roundabout were too badly damaged. Witnesses to the incident are asked to contact Wexford County Council.

Local resident and former councillor Lorcan Allen condemned the incident. 'The roundabouts have never looked better,' he said. 'People should have some respect for them, but some people have no respect for anything.'
