Charity motorbike run a great sight

UP TO 80 motorbikes and trikes made for an impressive sight as they rolled into Gorey recently on the Bubblegum Run.
They parked up at Naomh Eanna for several hours, and locals got a chance to admire the magnificent machines, and they also enjoyed food and entertainment.
Organiser Noel Donnelly from Coolboy was delighted with the response to the event and he said it's hoped around €2,800 was raised for the Bubblegum Club children's charity.
The ride left Blessington for Gorey, and after the lunch at Naomh Eanna, they all set off for Dun Laoghaire. Noel thanked Larry Cullen and his team at Naomh Eanna for laying on a fine spread of food, and for all their hospitality.
He also thanked those who supported the raffle and donated spot prizes. A big thank you went to the Gardaí in Gorey and Baltinglass for all their help and all those who took part or marshalled the event.
Thanks were also sent to those who helped organise the run, and to the sponsors, SP Motorcycles; Furlong's Butchers; CJ O'Loughlins; and Pettitt's SuperValu.
