Children of all ages are enjoying free Lego sessions at Byrne's Bookshop.

Owner Damian Byrne of Byrne's Bookshop said they recently installed a Lego Build Zone in the shop which is proving a big hit with children of all ages.

The Build Zone which complements the new Lego section at the shop is open during shop hours and children can pop into the store and play with Lego free of charge.

On Saturdays the shop has partnered with Bricks 4 Kidz and run Lego classes for children for a small fee. This ongoing programme is going down a treat with parents and children alike and demand is soaring.

Damian said that the Lego Build Zone has been such a success in the Enniscorthy store that there are now plans to install one in the Wexford store and the feasibility of adding one in Gorey is also being looked at.

Another new initiative being rolled out at Byrne's in Enniscorthy is Lego themed parties with food from Toffee and Thyme. 'We're getting a huge reaction', said Damian and people can book the parties through either Byrne's Bookshop or Toffee and Thyme.
