Ever ambitious Sonru, the Enniscorthy-based computer software developer, have added another partner to their growing list around the world.

The firm from the enterprise centre in Bellefield has confirmed that it is teaming up with Certus Solutions in the UK.

Sonru is responsible for an award winning programme which assists companies to recruit staff using internet interviews rather than face to face or phone contact.

Certus, which is based in the UK, is also active in the human resources area and the two enterprises reckon they have a fit.

As the deal was made public, Mark Sweeny, chief executive of Certus Solutions (UK) LLP, was very complimentary about their Irish ally: 'I am truly excited about working with Sonru.com. Their technology is world class and provides significant cost savings to talent acquisition.'

The latest deal was arranged by Daniel Rickard Richard, managing director of Sonru in Europe, who operates out of the UK.

Britain is just one of Sonru's bases as it also has offices in Singapore, Australia, South Africa and Poland, as well as being represented on the ground in Malaysia, New Zealand, USA and the Middle East.

The company was founded by Edward Hendrick from Clonroche and the name stems from the Irish phrase 'bí le sonrú' which means to stand out. Their flagship product is an automated video selection programme, allowing Sonru to boast that it is a global leader in the field of 'asynchronous video interviewing and selection'.
