Askamore club enjoys its outing
THE ASKAMORE Vintage Run is always a great opportunity for enthusiasts of old tractors and cars to get together and engage in healthy debate over the various merits of particular makes of vehicle, and a fair amount of craic is had.
This year, up to 40 tractors and 10 cars left Askamore for Ferns, and returned via Camolin and Shrule, and a fine spread was then laid on in Askamore Hall along with the obligatory cup of tea.
This year, they raised funds for St. Patrick's Special School, Enniscorthy, and a big thank you was sent to all who took part; all who sponsored them; and all who donated to the buckets on the day.
The Vintage Club also thanked the various sponsors and those who helped on the day.
