THE ENDURING appeal of the late Michael Jackson to Enniscorthy pop music lovers helped raise more than €2,800 for the Alzheimer Society in Wexford last week.
Organisers Paul Robinson and Rosemary Casey were worried that their 'Thriller' night in The Bailey would not be a hit. Instead, as it turned out, they attracted a full house to the venue, which was full of zombies and goth brides for the occasion as supporters turned up in fancy dress.
'The standard of outfits was brilliant,' said Rosemary Casey, who was one of a team of 14 who performed a full 'Thriller' dance routine on the night. Best dressed awards were presented to Derek Grady and Liz O'Brien. 'It was all a lot of fun, a great success and we are already talking about running it again next year.'
