FORTY PAINTINGS and pieces of sculpture from the national collection are on their way to Enniscorthy Castle. The building is being prepared to receive the touring 'Elements' art exhibition which will be open to the public from Saturday, December 8 until Sunday, January 13 free of charge.

The exhibition has already been seen in recent weeks - at the Central Library, Belfast in September, followed by Phoenix Park Visitor Centre, Dublin, in October and Larne Town Hall, County Antrim in November.

' We are so delighted that the Elements exhibition is joining us in Enniscorthy Castle,' commented castle manager Jacqui Hynes. She caught up with ' Elements' in the Phoenix Park and reported that the art is 'spectacular'. The prestigious event will be launched on Friday, December 7 by Minister of State Brian Hayes, who is responsible for the Office of Public Works.
