Deepest sympathy is extended to V. Rev John Sinnott P.P. Ballindaggin on the death of his mother Katie Sinnott, Morriscastle, Kilmuckridge which occurred on Wednesday 16th January. Interment took place in Kilmuckridge Cemetery on Saturday last. May she rest in peace.


Enrolment forms are now available at St. Colman's N.S., Ballindaggin and also on the school website for junior infants intending to start school at St. Colman's in September 2013. Please complete and return forms to the school office by Friday February 22nd 2013.


There is a Social and tea in Kiltealy Community Centre this Friday 25th January with music by El Paso. This is our fourth anniversary and some special treats will be on the table to celebrate.


The Duffry Rovers GAA Club are participating in a Countywide record breaking monster general Quiz which will be hosted by Wexford GAA and South East Radio in Jordan's of Ballindaggin on Thursday 21st February.

With the help of the Duffry Rovers and GAA clubs and venues around the county Wexford GAA plan to smash the Guinness book of records for a quiz held with the most participants, in the most venues, in one night! The quiz questions will be broadcast live on South East Radio into each venue so everyone hears the same questions at the same time.

First prize is €1,000 for winning team plus a set of jerseys for their nominated GAA club. - 2nd Prize €500 for winning team plus 4 All Ireland tickets for their nominated GAA club. 3rd Prize €250 for winning team plus 4 gold season tickets to Wexford Park. €40 per team of 4

The numbers drawn last week were; 9, 14, 21, 27. The following matched 3; Billy Sinnott, Caim. Bernard Colgan and Con Carty, Ballindaggin. The draw this week is in The Holy Grail and the jackpot is €9,300.


The death occurred at his residence Walker, Newcastle Upton Tyne, England on 2nd January of Peter Joseph Brooks. Age 66 years Peter was a native of Askinvillar, Kiltealy and emigrated to England when a young man.

Deepest sympathy is extended to his family Agnes, Jayne and Mark and grandson Archie. To his brother Brendan and sisters Nora and Helen, nephews and nieces. Interment took place in Heaton Cemetery following Requiem Mass in St. Vincent's Church, Walker on Monday January 14th. May he rest in peace.


Congratulations to the recent winners of Kiltealy N.S. fundraiser 'Split the Pot'. They were; Monday 7th January - Ted O'Brien, Griffith Avenue who won half the takings for that week €222 and the winner on Monday 14th January was Noah Mangan, senior infants who won half the takings of €142. Play 'Split the Pot' every week by putting €2 in a special envelope available in local shops, pubs, school and Post Office and writing your name and phone number on it.
